At the heart of any great golf club lies a course of incomparable charm and challenge, one that engages a golfer at every level of consciousness. Architects Michael Gleason of Pinehurst and Joel Moulin of Apex have designed such a golf course at Olde Liberty Golf and Country Club. Set among 543 exquisite acres, the golf corridors of the property have been developed into a 7,200-yard championship layout.
Golfers will take a step back in time to enjoy a modern facility designed to afford the entire family commensurate playability and aesthetic beauty. The breathtaking first hole, from which many great journeys will be launched, can be viewed in its entirety, and many dramas will be revealed as the meandering Par 5 eighteenth hole finishes in a natural amphitheater by the expansive practice area and learning center.
Gleason and Moulin bring a combined 46 years experience to the Olde Liberty layout, with both men having served as lead designers in the prestigious firms of Dan Maples Design, Inc. and W.R. Love Inc. respectively. The true strength of the team lies in their creativity and flexibility to create the very best golf experience while adhering to sound course strategy and game management techniques. The design is the culmination of extreme diligence on behalf of the designers and the golf course developer.
